Melissa Silva

As KUOW's Revenue Accountant, Melissa is responsible for recording and reconciling revenue-related transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the Finance Department in optimizing processes and maintaining compliance with financial policies.

Before joining KUOW, Melissa worked as a Student Assistant for UW Transportation Services Parking Operations, providing customer service support. She also served as an Accounting Analyst for the Ecuadorian Judicial Council, managing and supporting various accounting processes. Melissa holds a B.Eng. in Foreign Trade, Integration, and Customs and a Master’s degree in Tax Administration. She also holds a Global Business Certification from the University of Washington.

Passionate about giving back to her community, Melissa volunteers by helping provide meals to individuals experiencing food insecurity and supporting programs that ensure children have the school supplies they need to succeed.
