Our independent, nonprofit newsroom produces award-winning stories, podcasts and events. Each week, nearly a half-million listeners tune-in to our broadcast stream our content on and via smart speakers. The Opportunity… As Director, Philanthropy, you are responsible for growing KUOW’s major giving efforts (defined as those gifts $10,000+). Lead the vision, strategy, implementation and execution of all major fundraising from individuals, government agencies and foundations including planned giving and capital campaigns. You will lead a team of five talented, motivated Development Officers to achieve our annual revenue goal and also serve as a member of our Senior Leadership team helping guide KUOW for the next decade and beyond.

  • Morning Edition Senior Producer

    You are an experienced producer with a voracious hunger and deep curiosity about local news—someone who understands how to quickly produce breaking news that is accurate and also book and produce local interviews that deepen the listener’s understanding of current events. You’re always ready to hop on the phone with a stranger or pursue the perfect guest with DMs, voicemails, LinkedIn messages, and email. You are a great writer. You are a self-starter. You like working with a team. You support your colleagues and provide honest feedback. You meet your deadlines. You always ask how the newscasts and local elements of Morning Edition could be even better and consider tactics to do just that. You consider how local content from the Morning Edition broadcast can be maximized for web, social media and KUOW podcasts.

  • Senior Director, Digital Product

    KUOW invites you to create and lead a new division as Senior Director of Digital Product. You are an expert in leveraging digital technology for the public good. The work will be fast-paced and varied, starting with you building a team of product champions for content, philanthropy, sponsorship sales and marketing. You will be customer-centric, translating priorities into deliverables from external vendors and building customized solutions.
