Ryan Douglas is a Senior Vice President at Pacific Crest Bank, where he manages the bank’s risk management and regulatory compliance functions. Before joining the bank, he spent over 15 years working in Washington State government, first as a tax administrator and later as a bank regulator. Born in Seattle, Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Washington. He later completed a graduate-level accounting program through UW’s Foster School of Business as part of his path to becoming a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Ryan is passionate about building community and has held various leadership roles, including advising the Seattle Symphony’s former young patrons’ group and participating in diversity initiatives across Washington State government. He has also served as co-chair of a statewide business and employee resource group supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ state employees. He is proud to support KUOW’s local journalism and has fond memories of his brief time as the news editor for his high school’s student newspaper.
A lifelong resident of King County, Ryan lives in Seattle’s Central District with his husband, Kyle, and their Siamese cat, S’mores.
