3 Pioneer Square shooting victims identified, including 19-year-old woman

Three victims who died in a shooting early Saturday morning outside a Pioneer Square nightclub have been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
A fourth victim who survived the shooting remained in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center as of Monday afternoon.
The three people killed in the shooting outside of OHM Nightclub were 19-year-old Keilani Renae Harris, 24-year-old August Alfred Lastrappe, and 27-year-old Briaun Keith Dinish-Lomelli. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Colina Bruce is the cousin of Lastrappe, who went by “Q.” Bruce says her family has no idea about a possible motive, and are devastated by the “senseless” act.
“We’re just tired of experiencing these losses,” Bruce told KUOW. “The gun violence in Seattle is bad and has continued to get closer and closer to home — and this time it actually knocked on our door.”
For the last two years, Bruce says her charismatic cousin had worked every Friday and Saturday at their family business, Noir Lux Candle Bar in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood.
Lastrappe taught candle-making classes while also juggling construction apprenticeships with the goal of building a strong foundation for his 1-year-old child.
“He was just really trying to figure out what his next step would be in life,” Bruce said, “so that he could move into his career path and create stability and financial security for his son.”
It wasn’t uncommon for Lastrappe to show up five or 10 minutes late to his shift, Bruce said.
But the morning of May 17 was different. When her cousin didn’t respond to her texts, Bruce started reaching out to family members. They didn’t know where Lastrappe was either.
She started calling jails and hospitals. Eventually, a social worker called, and encouraged them to reach out to the medical examiner’s office.
Bruce said her family still has no idea of a possible motive. She believes Lastrappe had been to the nightclub before, and early Saturday, was there with friends “just hanging out.” She doesn’t believe he was the intended target.
“It was just some friends that were getting together,” Bruce said. “He had kind of happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

A spokesperson for the Seattle Police Department said they have no suspects in custody as of Tuesday afternoon.
During a press conference Monday, Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes said detectives are looking for a black Tesla that was seen near the shooting location outside the OHM Nightclub on South Washing Street around 1 a.m. Barnes said the Tesla driver is not a suspect in the shooting, but the vehicle might have picked up footage of the crime and those involved.
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell called the shooting a “devastating, heartbreaking tragedy.”
Downtown Seattle has seen an apparent uptick in violence in recent days.
Pioneer Square saw yet another shooting early Tuesday morning, for which a 26-year-old man was arrested. The 44-year-old victim, a man, survived a gunshot wound to the chest and remains in serious condition. Police say that shooting was preceded by an altercation between the two men.
On Sunday, the Seattle Police Department said it was investigating two separate stabbing incidents that occurred downtown that day.
Police arrested a 41-year-old man accused of stabbing one man and knocking another unconscious during an altercation in Pioneer Square's Occidental Park. Police say they found that stabbing victim, age 44, with a knife still lodged in his back before transporting him to Harborview, where he was last reported to be in serious condition. The man who was knocked unconscious was treated at the scene and taken to Harborview for observation.
A separate incident in Belltown left a 57-year-old man in serious condition after being stabbed in the chest on Sunday. Police say the man was attacked after refusing his assailant's demands that he give up food he was carrying. No arrests have been made in that case.
Saturday's fatal shooting brings the total number of homicides in Seattle to 12 for 2025. The city recorded 54 homicides in 2024, including 20 in the first five months of the year.
Barnes said Seattle police would increase patrols and police presence in Pioneer Square in the wake of the violence.
