In this second episode of A More Perfect Union, reporters from Spokane Public Radio, Northwest Public Broadcasting, KUOW, and Humanities Washington explore Latinx voting rights and civic engagement in our region.

They'll cover Latino representation in Washington's government, take a look at the barriers to civic engagement and participation for Latinx communities, interview lawmakers and judges about diversifying Washington's judicial system, and share the story of how one Washington woman overcame hardships to become the first Latina mayor elected in the Tri Cities. Finally, they'll interview an LGBTQ+ activist about the importance of speaking up to improve the lives of everyone in our community.
