Debate: Should Washington state introduce tougher gun laws?

This November, Washington votes on whether to restrict the purchase and storage of some firearms. We host a special debate between those backing measure I-1639 - arguing for tougher checks, training, wait periods and gun storage - and against the initiative.

Should Washington put more limits on the buying and storing of some guns?

I-1639 would increase background checks and training requirements, add age restrictions and mandated waiting periods, and criminalize improper storage of firearms.
