Governor Inslee has made face coverings mandatory in indoor and outdoor public spaces in Washington state, starting today. Not wearing a mask is now a misdemeanor. However, some local sheriffs are pushing back on the mandate.

The Seattle Mariners are returning to T-Mobile field starting July 1. But things won't be quite the same for training players.

Also, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan has announced her initial round of budget cuts, because of the shortfall due to Covid-19. Her proposal includes a 5% cut to the Seattle Police Department. She's also asked police and city staff to look at options for cutting the budget by 20%, 30%, and 50%.

Plus, Mayor Durkan and Police Chief Carmen Best say police are intending to go back into the East Precinct in phases. What will that look like?

Finally, Attorney General Bob Ferguson is reviewing 30 other incidents of police deadly force for conflicts of interest, after finding the Pierce County Sheriff's department violated state law in its investigation of Manuel Ellis' death.
