The U.S. track and field team has continued to secure medals. On Thursday night, the team added three golds, several silvers and bronzes, and even set a new world record from 400m hurdle phenom Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone.

However, in the men’s 200m sprint, the U.S. had to settle for a silver and bronze after a blistering win for Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo, who scored his country’s first-ever Olympic gold. It later transpired that bronze medalist and American sprint favorite Noah Lyles had COVID-19 when he ran. Elsewhere, the U.S. men booked a final spot in the basketball game against France after coming through a close encounter with Serbia.

Brian Mann is in Paris and joins host Scott Tong for an update on yesterday’s action and what’s ahead as the competition draws to a close.
