Hundreds gathered in front of the Henry M. Jackson Federal building on Second Avenue to demonstrate support for the impeachment of Donald Trump on Tuesday evening.

In cities across the country, pro-impeachment supporters rallied on the eve of the historic vote. In Seattle, Mayor Jenny Durkan and King County Executive Dow Constantine were among the speakers.

"This president thinks he is above the law," Durkan said to the crowd. "Will you support our Congress tomorrow when they take that somber but constitutional duty?

"Will you write to them? Will you stand for them? Will you say that we are driven not by politics but by a love of country?"

Loud chants of "yes" rang out from the crowd.

"For three years we've suffered from a president who is irresponsible, ignorant, racist and thinks that there are no consequences for breaking the law or ignoring the constitution," said impeachment supporter Melinda Mueller. "The damage he has done is incalculable and it's time to say enough."
