In preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Seattle hosted six games this month for the Club World Cup. Teams from all over the world came to the city to play against the Sounders, but also against each other.

Seattle Sounders FC, Atlético de Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Botafogo, CA River Plate, Urawa Reds, and FC Internazionale, and their supporters were on the streets of Seattle and in the stadium to watch their teams perform.

Unfortunately for Sounders fans, the Seattle squad lost their games and their chance to advance to the next round. However, the city got a taste of what to expect with the next year's World Cup, when Seattle will host six matches, including the US team's second group stage match.
