Photos: Seattle springs out of the 'Big Dark' and into the light
It's official: There are brighter days ahead in Seattle. Western Washington has made it through the "Big Dark" and into sunsets after 8 p.m.
As the grey, wet, darkness subsides for sunnier and longer days, many Seattleites are rejoicing. Wednesday marked the first day of sunsets after 8 p.m., until September.
Over the last few months, KUOW set out to capture the color, hues, mood, and feel of the seasons in transition.
