Is there still time make a difference on climate change?
Bill McKibben is a pioneer in the fight to acknowledge and do something about climate change.
He is an author, environmentalist and the founder of the 350.org movement. In 1989, he published the cautionary treatise “The End of Nature.”
Now, 30 years later, a gray-haired McKibben is still warning about climate change with his latest work “Falter: Has the Human Game Begun to Play Itself Out.” His latest insights into whether or not we have the time and the will to address our impacts on the environment make for crucial reading and listening.
The University of Washington Program on the Environment, the Seattle Public Library, the Elliott Bay Book Company and 350.org presented McKibben at UW’s Kane Hall on May 2. KUOW’s Jennie Cecil Moore recorded his talk.
