Rise In Number Of Assisted-Dying Patients
The number of terminally ill patients who opted for assisted dying in Washington state increased 17 percent this past year. A total of 376 terminally ill adults have received medication to help end life since the Death with Dignity Act passed in 2009 according to the Washington State Department of Health’s annual report on assisted dying.
