Seattle Children's Hospital mold

The most famous hospital-borne illness is probably MRSA. But Seattle Children’s Hospital is suffering from another issue – aspergillus mold in the operating rooms that has sickened or killed several patients. The hospital is transferring people to other hospitals for treatment while they work to address the issue, which also cropped up earlier in the year. Seattle Superintendent of Schools Denise Juneau

Gifted and talented programs often have a very visible diversity problem. In order to achieve more proportional representation of educationally advanced kids, Seattle Superintendent Denise Juneau says the whole program needs an overhaul. KUOW education reporter Ann Dornfeld joined Bill Radke for context.
