Seattle Now: Why does Microsoft want TikTok?
Microsoft says it will be done laying out an offer to to acquire the social media platform TikTok in the United States by mid September.
Karen Weise is a Seattle tech correspondent for the New York Times and is one of the reporters following this story, and she explains the potential deal and what Microsoft might get out of it.
