Court strikes down Seattle's wealth tax, but opens door for uniform income tax

Kim Malcolm talks with KUOW's Carolyn Adolph about a State Court of Appeals ruling that says Seattle's wealth tax is unconstitutional.

On Monday, the Washington state Court of Appeals ruled that the city of Seattle cannot impose an income tax on wealthy households.

But the court also ruled that Seattle is allowed to implement an income tax, as long as it's levied uniformly.
