Ukrainians left without power as largest private energy network hit by Russian attacks

Russian attacks have knocked out half of Ukraine’s energy-generating capacity. As winter approaches, Ukrainians may not have electricity to heat their homes, cook food, or communicate with the wider world.

DTEK is Ukraine’s largest private power company. Ben Harding, head of DTEK’s international communications, talks about the company’s efforts to repair and decentralize the grid as the war drags on.
