Voting by mail prompts national debate ahead of November election

The presidential election isn't until November, but the vote is already in dispute -- yet another problem resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.

The controversy centers around the call by many for states to shift to mail-in systems in order to avoid the dangers of in-person voting.

Washington state shifted to that practice years ago, but it's only one of a handful. Now the president is claiming that mail-in voting creates more problems than it solves.
