What to know about Arizona's ballot initiative on abortion

Abortion is expected to be on the ballot in Arizona this November. A ballot initiative will give voters the chance to decide whether they want to enshrine access to abortion in the state’s constitution. If passed, the amendment would allow abortion up to viability and prevent the state from penalizing others for assisting pregnant women get abortions.
