Dockworkers plan to strike, shut down 36 ports

Unionized dockworkers on the East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico say they intend to strike at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday morning. The International Longshoremen’s Association is demanding higher wages and says contract talks aren’t progressing. A strike would shut down 36 ports from Maine to Texas.
