Few teens are receiving gender-related care, study finds

How many American teenagers are receiving medical care related to gender transitions? According to a peer-reviewed research letter published Monday in JAMA Pediatrics, the answer is very, very few.

A new analysis of private insurance claims data finds less than 0.1% of youth accessed puberty blockers or hormones for gender transition.
