Google reaches a deal with California to pay $110 million to fund local journalism

California was working on legislation to force Google to pay a portion of its advertising profits to the state’s struggling news industry. Last week, the state and the tech giant reached a deal to fund local journalism, but local journalists say it’s not enough.
