Harris is winning over Democrats, but what about independents?
There’s no question that the momentum is building as the Democratic National Convention prepares for the main event — an address by Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday night.
It’s a moment many Democrats hope will turn the dial a notch closer to the presidency. But to do that, and to get beyond that within-the-margin-of-error approval rating in key states, Harris is going to have to make headway with independent and undecided voters. In July, undecided voters made up about 6% of voters according to a New York Times/Siena College Poll.
