How the looming port strike could impact truckers

About 45,000 dock workers at ports from Maine to Texas are scheduled to walk off the job on Tuesday for the first time since 1977.

Contract negotiations have been stalled for months as longshoremen ask for more pay and a ban on automation that moves cargo. The strike would impact 36 ports and have ripple effects down the supply chain.
