It's mid-May and in Seattle, that means one thing: the Seattle International Film Festival! With more than 400 films to choose from, it can be overwhelming, but KUOW's Marcie Sillman has some suggestions.

FRIDAY, May 17:

6:00 p.m., SIFF Cinema Uptown: "The Woman Who Loves Giraffes, a documentary about Canadian zoologist Anne Innis Dagg.

SATURDAY, May 18:

12:30 p.m., SIFF Cinema Uptown: "Running with Beto," about Beto O'Rourke's Texas Senate campaign.

1:00 p.m., Cinemark Lincoln Square Cinemas: "Botero," a documentary about famed Columbian artist Fernando Botero.

2:00 p.m., SIFF Egyptian: 1925's "Phantom of the Opera" featuring live musical accompaniment.
