A new 111-track box set called “Memphis” is out Friday. It celebrates the recordings Elvis Presley made in that city. The project follows Presley’s musical journey in his hometown, from the early days when he was virtually unknown all the way to his final days recording in his studio at Graceland.

Here & Now‘s Peter O’Dowd speaks with author Robert Gordon, who wrote the box set’s liner notes.
